What you'll do -

The Head of Technology will serve as a strategic advisor to the Executive Leadership Team,
driving technology strategy and digital enablement. The Head of Technology will be responsible for leading and overseeing the development of the complete information and technology environment.

The post-holder will be a champion for digital transformation and technology enablement, and will work with other
leaders to drive organisational change.

Strategy
- Oversee a team of application, desktop and infrastructure professionals.
- Support the development and implementation of a digital strategy aligned to the organisation strategy.
- Oversee the development of the infrastructure, systems and platforms to enable the strategy and improve donor and service user experience.
- Support digital transformation through practical enterprise architecture and development practices.
- Lead and plan technology adoption throughout the organisation and provide insight for the senior leadership into new trends in technology that can further enable the organisation's goals, including preparation of business cases for Board approval.

Technology leadership
- Build and maintain a strong functional team through effective recruiting, training, coaching, team building, and succession planning.
- Lead inclusively, encouraging and motivating a high-performing team.
- Leverage skills and expertise from external subject matter experts which can optimise the delivery, security and reliability of the technology services and manage IT related projects.
- Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across the organisation.
- Lead the implementation of new IT policies, procedures and systems, working to professional standards and supporting and enabling organisational change.
- Maintain and protect the security

of our IT systems in line with industry standards.
- Analyse the costs, value and risks of information technology to advise management
and suggest action.
- Oversee IT procurement and vendor management, including service delivery.
- Be accountable for the operation of systems administration, database administration, security, disaster recovery, business continuity plan, quality control and testing, IT service management and software development.
- Develop technology KPI and MI reports.
- Direct and organise IT-related projects. Proactively plan for the future development of IT systems based on the needs of the organisation.

Who you are

- A strong strategic and business mindset.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong knowledge of systems and technologies and passionate about keeping up to date with developments in the industry.
- Ability to present complex technical information to a variety of audiences with differing technical competency.

Your qualifications and experience

- Third level qualification in computer science, technology, or a related field; or demonstrable equivalent on-the-job experience.
- Experience in managerial roles in a relevant technology environment.
- Experience in delivering change through technology and digital transformation in similar sized organisations.
- Experience in leading and managing projects. Project Management qualification an advantage.
- A strong strategic and business mindset.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong knowledge of systems and technologies and passionate about keeping up to date with developments in the industry.
- Ability to present complex technical information to a variety of audiences with differing technical competency.

Hours:
35 hours weekly - with flexibility

Based in Dublin, with mix of office and remote working
