JOB DESCRIPTION

?A leading Pharmaceutical Manufacturer in Munster is adding a Health and Safety Officer onto it's high performing team. Reporting to the EHS&S Manager, you will among other duties coordinate internal EHS inspections, manage the site risk assessment program.
About the Job:

Undertake & maintain site EHS&S Risk Assessment program to ensure control measures have been established and implemented with the purpose of reducing overall risk on-site
Undertake EHS&S inspections as part of a fixed schedule with findings being actioned & closed out in a timely manner
Assist with the Accident/Incident Investigation procedure should an incident occur on the site
Co-ordinate EHS&S Training requirements through online training platform
Work in conjunction with the EHS&S Manager to develop and maintain EHS&S controls and procedures within the site
Support the EHS&S Manager with the management and delivery of EHS&S initiatives within the company
Contribute to the evolution of the Safety Culture through positive reinforcement, demonstrating a high level of self-motivation and enthusiasm.
Liaise with line managers/shift supervisors by acting as a ?coach? in terms of assisting to change/maintain a strong safety culture on-site
Meet company EHS objectives & targets as well as individual performance O&T's to enable continued personal development
Perform other assigned tasks and support all aspects of the company
About You:

Third Level EHS Qualification or equivalent
2+ years? experience in an EHS role
Good problem-solving skills and ability to resolve issues quickly ensuring all EHS&S compliance requirements are met.
Specific knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Law, Hazards & Risks within a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of safety practices
Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills
Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills
Flexibility to work/travel between sites as and when required
Strong IT skills with MS packages
VDU Assessor & Manual Handling Instructor qualification an advantage
